How to Transfer an Asset: Basic Asset Transfers

Now that we have our first assets onboarded, we are ready to transfer them from their current location. ON!Track provides two ways to perform transfers:

1. Transfer Cart: Similar to an online shopping cart, you can add multiple items to the transfer cart and transfer them all at once with additional options. This will be covered in the next module.
2. Basic Transfer: This is a quick process that allows you to transfer an asset with just a few clicks.

For the following examples, we will perform two different transfers:

1. Transfer a "Vehicle" to the new jobsite created earlier.
2. Transfer a "Vehicle Gateway" to a new Van Storage asset.

Transferring an Asset to the Jobsite

In this example, we will perform a basic transfer of an asset from the warehouse to a jobsite:

1. Find and select the asset;
2. Click "Quick Transfer"
   
   
3. On the next screen, choose the destination for the asset.
   
   
   
   
4. Once satisfied with the selection, click "Transfer".
   
   

Transferring an Asset to a Storage Asset

In this example, we will perform a basic transfer of an asset from the warehouse to a storage asset (our newly created "Van"):

1. Find and select the asset.
   
   
   
   
2. Click "Quick Transfer".
   
   
   
   
3. On the next screen, choose the storage asset or van as the destination.
   
   
   
   
4. Once satisfied with the selection, click "Transfer".
