What is the Smart map?

  • Updated

Roles: Administrator & Employee | Interface: Web

A feature that allows users to view all active tagged or IoT-enabled tools (e.g., Gateways, Bluetooth tags or Nuron) on a single map.

When you open the Smart Map, you will only see tools that are active, tagged, or IoT-enabled (e.g., Nuron). Tools will show their latest location only if there is an update from a Gateway scan, the ON!Track app, or a Nuron charger.

For tools tracked by stationary gateways, their location on the map will match the address of the warehouse or job site where the gateway is installed.

Benefits:

  • Track Equipment: See where your equipment is across different locations.
  • Optimize Movement: Manage asset movement to avoid delays.
  • Reduce Downtime: Find and use equipment faster to minimize downtime.
  • Improve Efficiency: View all assets on a map for smoother operations.
  • Simplify Management: Easily keep track of valuable equipment.

The below steps can help users navigate to Smart Map.

Instructions:

  • Click on the "Smart map" tab.

Assets and Clusters:

On the Smart Map, tools are displayed as either individual assets or clusters.

  • Individual Assets: Tools shown separately on the map.
  • Clusters: Groups of tools located close together, displayed as a single cluster.

Instructions:

  • The map automatically adjusts to show assets individually or as clusters based on the zoom level.
  • You can zoom in further to expand the cluster and view the list of individual assets.

  • Assets with the same location coordinates will always appear as clusters, even when zoomed in fully. Clicking on a cluster will display a list of all assets within it.
