Roles: Administrator & Employee | Interface: Web & Mobile App
Smart Map is a feature in ON!Track that shows active, tagged, or IoT‑enabled tools and equipment on one map. Examples include tools linked through gateways, BLE tags, or Nuron tools.
When Smart Map is opened, only tools that are active and trackable are shown. A tool shows its latest location only when ON!Track has a recent update from:
Gateways
Van gateways
Telematics gateways
Nuron charger
ON!Track App
Geo tag
Global BLE network
For tools tracked by stationary gateways, the tool’s map position matches the address of the warehouse or jobsite where that gateway is installed.
How smart map helps your business
Less time spent searching for tools: Teams see where tracked tools were last seen on one map instead of walking around or opening many records.
Fewer misunderstandings between sites and teams: A shared map view helps teams agree more easily on where tools were last detected.
Better planning of tools across sites: Managers can see which areas have tracked tools available and can move tools where they are needed most.
Benefits of smart map
- Quick locating & less downtime: See where tools were last seen in one view, helping you find them faster and keep work moving.
- One clear map view: View all tracked equipment in one place for easier daily work and better oversight.
- Better planning & movement: Track where equipment is and move it between jobsites, warehouses, and vans without delays.
- Easier equipment management: Keep track of valuable tools across multiple locations without extra effort.
- Clearer view in busy areas: Tools in the same location are grouped together, keeping the map clean and easy to understand.
- Focused follow‑up: Use filters to quickly find specific tools, locations, or time periods that matter to your task.
- Easy sharing (web): Export an Excel list to review or share tool location details with others.
Use Cases
Jobsite manager : Checks where key tools were last seen before starting planned work, to confirm that important tools are nearby.
Warehouse or storekeeper: Looks at Smart Map to see which tracked tools are currently shown around the warehouse area and filters to specific tool types if needed.
Van or tool‑responsible person: Uses Smart Map to check where tools linked to a van or route were last detected when something seems to be missing.
Operations or asset manager (web): Exports the Smart Map list to Excel to review last seen locations and share updates with project teams or management.
Summary
Smart Map shows active, tagged, or IoT‑enabled tools and equipment on a single map using their latest available location update. It reduces searching, supports clearer planning across sites, and helps all roles find and manage tracked tools with simple pins, groups, filters, and optional web export.
