Exporting the components of a Storage Asset allows you to quickly generate a detailed overview of all items stored within a specific asset. This process is useful for inventory checks, audits, or sharing asset information with others. By following a few simple steps, you can export the relevant data in an organized Excel format.

Follow below steps to export the components of a Storage Asset:

  • Export Scope:

  • Clicking the export button will generate an Excel file that includes:
    • The parent storage asset.
    • All child assets directly under the storage asset.
    • Any nested (child) storage assets.
    • All grandchild assets (assets within nested storage assets).

Note: The asset count in the exported file will match what is shown in the UI.

  • Exported Fields:

    • The Excel export includes detailed columns (54 columns), click on below excel sheet to view the complete list: Assets_Details.xlsx

  • Permissions & Edge Cases:

    • Export option is hidden or disabled for users with view-only permissions.
    • If no assets match the filter, the export will generate an empty file with a message.
    • Export works for both parent and child storage assets.

  • Filtering and Search:

    • If you apply filters or search within the storage asset, only the filtered/searched assets will be exported.
    • The asset count in the Excel file will reflect the refined list.

Note: Always ensure you have the correct permissions and your filters are set as needed before exporting. This ensures your export contains exactly the components you require.
