Exporting the components of a Storage Asset allows you to quickly generate a detailed overview of all items stored within a specific asset. This process is useful for inventory checks, audits, or sharing asset information with others. By following a few simple steps, you can export the relevant data in an organized Excel format.
Follow below steps to export the components of a Storage Asset:

Navigate to the Storage Asset:

Go to the asset list in ON!Track.

Hover over on the components of the desired storage asset from the list, then click on view all to access its components.

Access the Export Function:

Once inside the storage asset view, look for the export icon (a triangle) in the top-right corner.

Note: The export button will be visible if you have the necessary export permissions.

Now click on the export icon to reveal the export button, then click on export button to generate the report in excel file.
Export Scope:

Clicking the export button will generate an Excel file that includes:
- The parent storage asset.
- All child assets directly under the storage asset.
- Any nested (child) storage assets.
- All grandchild assets (assets within nested storage assets).
Note: The asset count in the exported file will match what is shown in the UI.

Permissions & Edge Cases:
- Export option is hidden or disabled for users with view-only permissions.
- If no assets match the filter, the export will generate an empty file with a message.

Export works for both parent and child storage assets.

Filtering and Search:
- If you apply filters or search within the storage asset, only the filtered/searched assets will be exported.

The asset count in the Excel file will reflect the refined list.
Note: Always ensure you have the correct permissions and your filters are set as needed before exporting. This ensures your export contains exactly the components you require.
