Note: when the Van or Heavy Equipment reaches the certain residual battery voltage (e.g., after being parked for an extended period), the Van/Telematics Gateway switches to its internal battery. During this time, no sensor tags are scanned, and only geolocation updates are done every hour. The vehicle battery is never drained from the gateway.
