Before deleting a location in ON!Track, users must meet the following prerequisites.
Prerequisites for deleting a Location
- No assigned assets: The location must not have any assets or quantity items assigned to it (including those in "consumed," "lost," or "disposed" status).
- No child locations: The location should not have any sub-locations.
- Not a default location: The location must not be set as the default for any asset.
- Correct permissions: Only users with the right permissions can delete locations.
- No Quantity item allocations: All Quantity item allocations linked to the location must be cleared or transferred elsewhere.
General Tips
- Use export features: Export any important data before deletion, as deleted records may not be recoverable.
- Ask your admin: If you are unsure, contact your system administrator for help with permissions or dependencies.
