How to delete a location

Why You Can’t Delete a Location in ON!Track
 

You might not be able to delete a location even if it seems unused. This usually happens because:

  • The location is still set as the default for one or more assets.
  • It may still be linked to certain assets in the system.

Note: ON!Track does not allow deletion of a location that is still assigned as a default for any asset or allocation.

How to Check if a Location is Assigned

  • Go to Reports → Unique Asset Report.



     
  • Apply the filter: Responsible Employee, Default Employee. Select the employee you want to delete.



     
  • Update all the columns.



     
  • Click Generate Report.

This report will show all assets that currently use the location as their default.

  • Update the default location of the listed assets to the correct one.
    • Once no assets are linked to the location, ON!Track will allow you to delete it.

Instructions:

  • Navigate to the "location" Tab: Click on the "Delete" icon at the top to delete an location.

 

  • Click on delete to delete the location.

  • The location will be deleted from the location list.
