Roles: Administrator & Employee | Interface: Web
The Hilti Consumables Onboarding enhancement makes it faster and easier to add Hilti consumable items to your ON!Track inventory.
You can search the Hilti product catalogue or select items from your purchase history, while the system automatically fills key product details such as name, image, and description, eliminating manual data entry.
The feature also supports bulk uploads, allowing you to add multiple items efficiently during setup or large updates.
Using direct Hilti data, it improves accuracy, prevents duplicate or mismatched entries, and ensures consistent information. It also provides clear status updates and error messages to help you track progress and resolve issues quickly.
Additionally, controlled data editing protects critical fields like manufacturer item numbers, while structured data supports future automation, such as automatic refill.
To use this feature in ON!Track Web:
- Go to Quantity Items
- Click Add
- Select Add Hilti Consumables
Note: Available only to users with Add/Edit Quantity Items permission. Mobile onboarding remains unchanged.
What's new?
You can now:
- Search for Hilti items using the item number or by selecting from recently purchased items.
- Relevant item details will be automatically filled in, reducing manual entry and improving data quality (e.g., name, image, description, packaging).
- Select items you’ve purchased in the last 12 months.
- Edit and onboard multiple items at once.
- Automatically assign items to your preferred location.
- Maintain consistent product data across your inventory.
Instructions
Step 1: Choose How to Onboard
You can onboard items in two ways:
- Search Catalogue – Enter up to 30 Hilti item numbers, separated by commas, to view product details. You can copy and paste a list directly from Excel.
- Recently Purchased – View and select items bought in the last 12 months.
Both options show:
- Product image and description.
- Item number, model, packaging, and quantity in package (pack size).
- Indicator if the item is already onboarded (greyed out).
Step 2: Review and Edit
After selecting items:
- Review them in your basket.
- Edit details like Asset Group, Stock Unit, Labels, or Min/Max stock levels.
- Use Bulk Edit to update multiple items.
Step 3: Review them in your basket:
- Choose a default inventory location (Main Allocation).
Note:
- Already onboarded items will be displayed at the bottom of the list on the onboarding page.
- On!Track will provide a warning message if any of the mandatory information is missing in items to be onboarded.
Step 4: Onboard
Once ready:
- Click Onboard X Items
- ON!Track creates the items and assigns them to your selected location
- Successfully onboarded items disappear from the basket; errors are clearly shown
Examples:
- “Item successfully onboarded.”
- “Item already exists.”
