A Lifelong Service is used to show that a service does not need to be repeated or scheduled again. Once marked as lifelong, it won’t trigger alerts or future actions. This helps keep your service list clean and avoids confusion.
Below are key points on how Lifelong Services work and how they can be used:
- Assigning a Lifelong Service: You can assign a one-time service to an asset and later change it to a lifelong service.
- Alert Behavior: Lifelong services do not trigger alerts or require future actions. This helps keep the upcoming service list clean.
- Service Completion: Once completed, lifelong services appear in the historic service list and are labeled as “Lifelong.”
- Editing Services: You can edit a one-time service to make it lifelong.
Instruction:
-
To mark a service as lifelong, open an upcoming one-time service and check the box labeled “Lifelong Service".
-
Assign this one-time service template to the relevant asset.
-
Once the service is assigned, you can edit it to mark it as a "life-long service".
-
Once a service is marked as lifelong, it stays visible on the Manage Services page.
- Lifelong services show a blue “Lifelong” label and always appear at the bottom of the Manage Services page.
-
Lifelong services always appear in the last row under the “Upcoming Services” tab in “Manage Services.
-
After marking a service as lifelong, complete it and check that it appears correctly in the historic services list.
Notes:
- Scheduled Fields: When a service is marked as lifelong, scheduled fields like hours and miles are cleared automatically.
