ON!Track users working with Runtime Tags couldn’t see how long their assets had been idle. Unlike Smart Tags, Runtime Tags didn’t show idle time in the Asset List view, Asset Details, or in the Unique Asset Inventory Report.
This missing visibility made it difficult to assess asset usage, identify under utilized tools, or make timely decisions.
It’s now being addressed with a solution that brings idle time tracking to Runtime Tags, giving users the same powerful insights already available with Smart Tags.
What’s Changing?
You’ll now see idle time and idle duration (in days) for assets tagged with Runtime Tags in the following areas:
Asset list view
Asset details view
Desktop View:
Mobile View:
Unique asset inventory report
- Select the required report and click on edit the report.
- Select the required report and click on edit the report.
- In Section 3 "Select Columns," enable the "Idle duration (Days)" field. Then, add the necessary details and click "Complete" to finish.
- Open the report and look for the 'Idle duration (Days)' column to see how long the system was idle.
Why It Matters?
These updates are designed to help you:
- Make informed decisions about asset usage and allocation
- Identify underused equipment and optimize your fleet
- Export idle time data for reporting and analysis
Whether you're managing tools, vehicles, or heavy equipment, this visibility helps you stay in control.
How It Works?
- Runtime Tags send last used date and time via IoT tracking
- This data is processed and made available in ON!Track views and reports
- Idle time is calculated based on the time since the asset was last used
Where You’ll See It?
| Feature | What’s Displayed |
| Asset list view | Idle time for runtime-tagged assets |
| Asset details view | Idle time and location-based tracking |
| Unique asset inventory report | Idle duration (days) |
Known Limitations
Currently, idle time is not shown in the asset details view for:
- Vans
- Heavy equipment
