      • From the list of shipments, select any shipment with status Open.

      • Open it to continue packing the remaining tools.

Packing Assets on Web

  • In your open shipment, find the asset list.

  • For each tool you are physically placing into the box:

    • Locate the matching tool in the list (by name, serial number, or filters).

    • Select the Packed radio button for that asset.

  • A confirmation screen will appear:

    • Check that the tool details match the item in your hand.

    • Follow any special instructions, especially for batteries and other dangerous goods.

  • Confirm to mark the asset as Packed.

Repeat this for each tool that you physically put into the shipment.

Note: Only mark a tool as “Packed” after you have actually placed it in the box.

Packing Assets on Mobile

  • Open the Fleet Return tile on the ON!Track mobile app.

  • Open the shipment you want to work on.

  • Tap Identify Asset to start:

    • You can use your phone’s camera or NFC (if available) to scan the tool.

What You Will See

  • Correct tool (allowed to return)

    • A green indicator screen appears.

    • You see a confirmation screen with the tool details.

    • Review any packing instructions (for example, how to handle a battery).

    • Confirm, and the system marks the asset as Packed.

  • Wrong tool (not part of this return)

    • A red indicator screen appears.

    • You will see a message telling you not to pack this tool in the current shipment.

If Scanning Does Not Work

If you cannot identify a tool with the camera or NFC:

  • Use the Search bar to enter data manually, for example: serial number, scancode and tool name.

  • Or use filters (location, worker, asset status) to find the correct asset.

  • Once you have found the correct asset in the list, manually select the Packed radio button.

Safety and Packing Tips

  • Always follow the dangerous goods handling instructions for batteries shown on the confirmation screens.

  • Use enough padding material so tools do not move around inside the box.

  • Seal boxes securely with strong tape.

  • Do not mix tools from different shipments in one box. Each shipment in ON!Track should correspond to the physical box or boxes that should be part of one carrier pickup

When You Are Done Packing

  • Check that:

    • Every tool placed in the box is marked as Packed in ON!Track.

    • No extra tools are in the box that are not part of the shipment.

  • Once all required assets are packed and marked as Packed, you can continue with the next step in ON!Track:

    • Schedule or order pickup for this shipment via Hilti Online or email to customer service (as described in the overall Return & Renewal flow).

After this, you wait for the logistics company to pick up your shipment.
