Why is my TU 700 showing offline state or not updating?

  • Updated

There could be reasons why the TU 700 gateway is showing offline state or not updating the data such as:

  • No GPS fix for 30 minutes — If the gateway can't acquire a GPS signal, it will be shown as offline. Check that the device has a clear view of the sky and the red blinking LED is active (indicates GPS fix + cellular connection).

  • Network connectivity issues — Poor or no cellular signal will prevent the gateway from uploading data.

  • No BLE tags nearby / no scanning data for 30 minutes — If there are no tags in proximity or BLE scanning is disabled, the gateway won't send tag data and will appear offline.

  • Low vehicle battery (≤ 12.1V) — When battery voltage drops to this level, the gateway enters sleep mode and only sends a geolocation update once per hour (no BLE scanning).

  • BLE scanning disabled — Bluetooth scanning maybe disabled for the device.

  • Gateway moving at very low speed (<8 km/h) — The VAN Gateway may show as offline if the van is moving too slowly.
