An "Unexpected" status means that a tool was detected at your location, but it isn't currently assigned there in ON!Track.
This can happen when a tool with a BLE tag is physically present at a gateway-enabled location — such as a van or jobsite — but hasn't been transferred to that location in the system. Smart Inventory flags it as "Unexpected" so you can quickly spot the difference between where your tools are supposed to be and where they've actually been detected.
You can resolve this by transferring the tool to the correct location in ON!Track.
