How to transfer assets or quantity Items via smart inventory using mobile application

  • Updated

Roles: Administrator & Employee | Device: Mobile App

ON!Track has 2 different ways of performing transfers. Those are:

1) Quick Transfer: This feature allows you to transfer individual assets swiftly to job sites, warehouses, storage assets, or workers. You can use Quick Transfer to immediately assign one asset or a quantity item to a responsible employee, a location, or a storage asset.

2) Transfer: This feature allows you to transfer multiple assets, especially to different job sites, containers, or workers. Compared to "Quick Transfer", you can also set a return date and add notes.

Good to Know:

  • You must have permission before moving assets or changing item quantities.
  • Note: Smart Inventory scans one gateway-enabled location or storage asset at a time.
  • When you transfer an item, its “Assigned to” value is updated.
  • You can transfer items to a location, storage asset, or worker.
  • The transfer cart can hold up to 500 items.

Instructions:

 For Assets:

  • Open the ON!Track mobile app.

  • Go to the gateway-enabled location or storage asset.

  • Open Smart Inventory.

  • Review the category counts and open the relevant list.

  • Select the asset or assets you want to transfer.

  • Add them to the Transfer Cart or start the transfer flow.

  • Choose the destination location, storage asset, or worker.

  • Review and confirm the transfer.

For Quantity Items:

For quantity items, use the standard mobile transfer workflow where available. The logic is the same as on web platform: select the quantity item allocation, enter the quantity to move, choose a destination, adjust the item status if needed, and confirm.

  • Open the relevant quantity item or allocation.

  • Enter the quantity to transfer.

  • Select the destination.

  • Adjust the status if required.

  • Confirm the transfer.
