July 2025 - Release Notes

  • Updated

New Storage Asset Category: “Kits”

  • A new storage asset class, called “Kits,” is introduced to enhance the management of equipment sets.
  • You can register equipment such as a cordless tool, a box or a case as a “kit” in ON!Track and store other parts of that equipment set, such as batteries or chargers.
  • “Kits” can also be applied to your toolbox systems allowing you to efficiently track your toolboxes.
  • By registering a “kit” with stored equipment, ON!Track mirrors your daily workflows and tracks the entire equipment set automatically.
  • “Kits” work seamlessly with the ON!Track features smart inventory and automated asset transfers that reduce manual tracking efforts.

Smarter Tracking with Hierarchies

  • The structure and setup of equipment sets are now reflected in inventory counts.
  • Automated transfers treat the entire set as a single unit, simplifying logistics and reducing manual effort.

Email Notifications for Recalled Transfers

  • You’ll now get an email if a transfer is recalled before delivery.
  • Emails are sent to:
    • The person who created the transfer
    • The person who was supposed to receive the assets
    • The person who recalled the transfer
  • The email includes:
    • Transfer ID and date
    • Names of involved users
    • List of affected assets (with scan codes, inventory numbers, or serial numbers)

Why it matters: Everyone stays informed when a transfer is cancelled.

Delta Support for Location APIs – Faster Syncs

  • The GET APIs for locations now support delta sync.
  • You can now fetch only the records that changed in a specific time range.
  • What this means:
    • Smaller data loads
    • Faster syncs
    • More efficient integrations

How to use it: Add a time filter to your API request to get only the updates you need.

Other improvements

  • Help button on the contact support page:  You will  see a new ON!Track Help Center button under the Contact, Support & Information tab. Clicking it will take you directly to the Knowledge Base at https://help.ontrack3.hilti.com. The button is placed at the top of the list and matches the label shown in the image.

  • Destination Location Now Visible in Transit Tab: You can now see the asset’s destination ("To Location") in the Notification Centre’s "In Transit" tab, alongside origin and sender details, making it easier for warehouse managers to transfer items accurately.

Bug Fixes

We are happy to announce that the following bugs have been addressed:

  • QR Code Scanning Restored: Scanning Petzl QR codes is now supported across Samsung tablets and Google Pixel devices.
  • Device Compatibility Issue Resolved: Inconsistent scanning behavior across devices has been fixed, regardless of OS or app updates.
  • Asset cost report (ACR): Resolved an issue that caused inconsistencies in asset costing data.
  • Tool Kits Now Visible in Inventory: Kits stored in vans, heavy equipment, or stationary gateways now appear correctly under advanced tracking.
  • Repair Button Behavior Fixed: The Repair button is now disabled until a tool is selected via the radio button in the repair cart, preventing unintentional clicks.
  • Bluetooth Scan Code Fixed: Some assets from the same fleet order were missing Bluetooth scan codes in ON!Track. This issue has been resolved; scan codes now correctly appear in ON!Track after being added to SAP.
  • BLE Tag Activation Fixed: BLE tags can now be successfully activated on iPhone 15 and Samsung devices. Previously, users experienced errors or no response; this has now been fixed.
