Explain Quantity Item-specific statuses, with use cases

In ON!Track, some items are tracked in bulk , not one by one. These are called quantity items, like:

  • Bags of cement
  • Boxes of nails
  • Buckets of paint
  • Packs of screws

For Web:

For Mobile - Application

 

To help you manage these items, ON!Track uses statuses to show what’s happening with them. Here’s what each status means, with easy examples:

  • Available: 

    • These quantity items are ready to be used or sent to a jobsite.
    • USe Case Boxes of nails stored in the warehouse, ready to be dispatched.
  • Consumed: 

    • These quantity items have been used up.
    • Use Case: Bags of cement used during construction are marked as consumed.
  • Reserved: 

    • These quantity items are saved for a specific job or person, but haven’t been used yet.
    • Use Case: Buckets of paint set aside for a project next week project.
  • In Repair: 

    • These quantity items are damaged and being fixed.
    • Use Case: A tool or equipment sent for repair and not available right now.
  • Lost or Stolen: 

    • These quantity items are missing or reported stolen.
    • Use Case: A box of screws that couldn’t be found during stock check.
  • Disposed:

    • These items are no longer usable and have been thrown away or removed from inventory.
    • Use Case: Old or expired buckets of paint that were discarded.
  • In Transit (Web-only):

    • These items are being moved from one place to another.
    • Use Case: Bags of cement being transferred from one jobsite to another.

Statuses help you know what’s happening with those items,  whether they’re ready to use, used up, missing, or being moved.
