How to Import Quantity Items and best excel practices for it

  • Go to "Quantity Items," Click on the drop-down action from the action bar and select the import icon.

  • Download the template using the provided option. Fill it with your quantity item details, then upload it to complete the import.

  • Fill in all required fields in the template, then upload it using the import option. After that, check the import history to confirm it worked and see if there are any error messages.

Here are some best practices for importing quantity items into Excel:

  • Use Unique Identifiers: Assign a unique code (like a ScanCode) to each item to avoid duplicates and errors.
  • Stick to the Template: Always use the provided import template and fill in all required fields carefully.
  • Check Your Data: Review the information before uploading to make sure everything is complete and accurate.
  • Handle Errors Promptly: If you see an error message after importing, check the details, fix the issue, and re-upload.
  • Fill Mandatory Fields: Make sure fields like "Responsible Employee" are filled to avoid validation issues.
  • Avoid Conflicting Entries: Don’t enter both “Storage Asset” and “Allocation Location” for the same item, they can’t be used together.
  • Review and Re-import if Needed: After importing, check the results. If there are issues, correct them and try again.
