Roles: Administrator & Employee | Interface: Web, Mobile
Non-Hilti assets require manual data entry for all the mandatory fields.
Steps to add a non-Hilti asset:
For Web Platform:
-
Main asset page: Click "+".
-
Identification details: Enter the scan code, registration number, manufacturer, model, and name, and upload an image.
-
Asset group, labels, and type: Add these details (e.g., "Van" group).
- Inventory number - This is typically an alternative number that the customer may use. For accounting purposes, they may give every asset a unique code.
-
Name - Here, we can give the asset a friendly name. For example, whilst TE6-A is easily recognisable for any Hilti employee, for a customer it may mean nothing, and they may want to refer to it as a "Medium-sized hammer drill"
-
Asset location: Choose where it lives (warehouse, van, or employee).
-
Ownership details: Manually fill in the purchase date, order details, etc.
-
Service, attachments, notes: Add services, upload documents, and notes.
-
Complete: Click "Complete" to add the asset.
Viewing Asset Information on the Asset Location Page
When you open the Asset Location page, each asset is shown in a small asset mini card. This card helps you quickly recognize and verify the asset you are looking at.
If an asset has a name, it will be displayed normally on the mini card.
However, if the asset name is blank or not available, ON!Track automatically shows other useful information instead, so you can still identify the asset easily.
Here’s how the information appears:
1. Asset Name (when available)
If the asset has a name, it is shown as the main title on the mini card.
2. Scan Code (when asset name is not available)
If the asset name is blank or removed, ON!Track will show the Scan Code in its place, but only if a scan code exists for that asset.
This ensures that you always see a meaningful identifier.
3. Inventory Number (when both name and scan code are not available)
If the asset has no name and no scan code, then the system shows its Inventory Number instead.
This is used only when both other values are missing.
For ON!Track Mobile Application:
1. Click on the dashboard, add, select Unique Asset and fill out the details (Identification details, Asset details, etc.). Select/Add Required as the Manufacturer.
2. Fill out the required details (Asset type, location, responsible employee) and click on complete.
In summary, adding assets involves entering necessary details, ensuring the asset is properly identified and located, and uploading any relevant documents or notes. This process helps keep track of all valuable items efficiently.
