In ON!Track, it is possible to see different current location values in the asset list and the Asset Details panel. This is expected behaviour and does not necessarily indicate a problem.
This happens because ON!Track displays two different types of location information:
- The asset's current physical location
- The storage asset or container the asset is assigned to
Understanding the Different Location Fields
Current Location Name: The Current Location Name shows where the asset is physically located. Example: Master Warehouse.
Assigned to (Current location): The Assigned to (Current location) field shows the storage asset or container that the asset belongs to. Example: Hilti Van (24123456).
What You May Notice
An asset may display:
- Current Location Name: Master Warehouse
- Assigned to (Current location): Hilti Van (24123456).
Although these values are different, they are both correct because they represent different information.

Summary
If the location shown in the asset list differs from the value displayed in Asset Details, it does not always indicate an issue. ON!Track may be showing:
- Where the asset is currently located (Current Location Name)
- Which storage asset or container the asset is assigned to (Assigned to (Current location))
Both values can be correct at the same time.
