Introducing Service Checklist & Smart Service Enhancements

Say goodbye to paper checklists - ON!Track now puts services in the spotlight.
We’ve added structured service checklists and automatic asset status updates to make service execution safer, faster, and more reliable.

How it works:

  • Adding a Service Checklist to a Service Template (Web)

Create up to 20 checklist items in service templates, reorder with drag-and-drop, and mark mandatory steps and ensure tasks are completed in the correct sequence for better results.

  • Completing a Service with Service Checklist (Web & Mobile)

Service completion through a checklist ensures that tasks are completed in the correct sequence, properly documented, and tracked for the maximum transparency.

  • Automatic Asset Status Updates

Configure rules in Company Settings → Service Settings so asset status changes instantly based on Pass/Fail results - eliminating manual updates and ensuring readiness at a glance.

  • Plus: Lifelong services now display clearly in upcoming services for better tracking

    Why is this important?

  • More reliable service execution – Digital checklists ensure every technician follows the right steps.

  • Instant clarity on asset readiness – Automatic status updates ensures immediate visibility whether tools are safe and good to go.

  • Faster workflows with less manual effort – Service Checklist reduces manual updating, provides a more guided completion.

Improvements:

Turn Off Alerts

Based on your feedback, we’ve improved ON!Track so you can now deselect all recipients, ensuring users only receive the alerts that truly matter to them.

Note: Previously, ON!Track required at least one role - such as Location Manager or Responsible Employee - to be set as an alert recipient.

No More Noise. Just the Alerts You Want.

Add Asset Permission

When adding a new asset, users sometimes misspell the model name (e.g., entering TE6 instead of TE 6). ON!Track interprets this as a new manufacturer-model combination and automatically creates a new template. Over time, this leads to many accidental templates, and customers spend significant time cleaning them up.

Our solution

We’ve introduced separate permissions for:

  • Add Asset

  • Add Asset Template

This means:

  • Users can add assets only using existing templates.

  • Only users with the right permission can create new templates when needed.

Smart Map and Asset Detail Map improvements

  • New Smart Map improvements:

    • All the details at one glance on the Smart Map: mouse over an individual asset pin to see its tracking details and status

    • Automated zoom on Smart Maps: double-click a single asset pin and the Map will now automatically zoom to the blue confidence bubble level, when available. On mobile, just press the zoom button.

  • Asset Detail Map improvements:

    • Double-click to zoom: When viewing the location map in full-screen, simply double-click on the asset pin to zoom in to the blue confidence bubble when available.

Bug Fixes

We are happy to announce that the following bugs have been addressed:

  • Locale-Based Decimal Separator:

    • Number formatting now follows the decimal separator used in the selected language. Supported languages include German (DE-DE, DE-CH) and English (EN-US).
    • Values such as Cost, Purchase Quantity, and Service Cost appear in the correct regional format across the Asset, Quantity Items, and Asset Template modules.
    • Examples:
      • US / UK: 123,456.89
      • Germany: 123.456,89
    • Numbers display in a format familiar to the user’s chosen language.
