How to import new quantity items allocations

  • Updated

Roles: Administrator & Employee | Interface: Web

Instructions

  • Go to the Quantity Items section.

  • Click on the drop-down action from the action bar and select the import icon.

  • Upload a template with new allocation details.

  • Verify the import history with the status "Completed" to ensure the allocations were imported successfully.

  • The newly imported allocation will be visible in quantity items list.

Watch-outs & Good-to-Knows:

  • No changes to existing items: You cannot create or modify allocations for quantity items that already exist in the system.

  • Use the latest data: Always generate the import file just before uploading to ensure it contains the most up-to-date information.

  • Blue column headers = mandatory fields: If a column header is highlighted in blue, you must fill in its cells. Leaving them blank may cause errors.

  • One allocation type per row: Each row should only have one allocation type. For example, if you fill in the “Allocation - Location” column, then leave “Allocation - Storage Asset” and “Responsible/Allocation - Employee” blank for that row.

  • Test before full import: If you're importing many items, start by uploading just one row to check the results. If everything looks good, go ahead and import the rest.
