A main allocation is the primary location or assignment for a quantity item. When an item is marked as “main,” it helps identify its key placement and can affect how it's tracked or managed in the system.
- Always Visible: Main allocations stay listed even when the stock is zero. This helps with tracking and reporting.
- Deletion Condition: A quantity item can only be deleted when all its main allocations have zero stock. This prevents accidental removal of important records.
- Zero Stock Behavior: When a main allocation has no stock, it remains visible. Its status may change to "N/A" to reflect this.
- Ongoing Use: Even with zero stock, main allocations can still be used for actions like correcting stock or updating status. This ensures they remain manageable and prioritized.
Location-Only Rule: Location types, such as warehouses or jobsites, can be marked as main allocations. Storage assets and employee-only allocations are not eligible to be set as main.
