Automated Transfers is a feature in Hilti ON!Track Pro and Enterprise. It automatically updates the location of your tools and equipment when they move between your main locations, such as warehouses, vans, or jobsites with gateways.
Instead of updating each tool’s location manually, ON!Track uses Sensor tags and gateways to detect movements and update your inventory automatically.
Example:
You start your day at the warehouse. Ten drills are assigned in ON!Track to “Warehouse – Central.” The drills are stored on a rack near a stationary gateway, and each drill has a sensor tag.
Loading the van
You take the ten drills from the rack and place them into Van 12, which has a van gateway installed.
What the system notices
- The warehouse gateway stops detecting the ten drills.
- The van gateway starts detecting the same ten drills while the van is parked and when it starts moving.
What ON!Track does
ON!Track recognizes that the drills are no longer at the warehouse and are now regularly detected in Van 12. Based on the automated transfer rules already set up, ON!Track automatically updates the drills’ location from “Warehouse – Central” to “Van 12.”
You do not need to make any manual changes.
What you see as a user
- When you open Van 12 in ON!Track, all ten drills are listed there.
- When someone checks the warehouse inventory, those drills no longer appear there.
From your point of view, you simply move the tools. ON!Track updates their locations automatically in the background.
